New ministers vow to uphold PM�s trust

The newly sworn ministers and state ministers yesterday vowed to perform their respective duties with utmost dedication and sincerity in the greater interest of the country and its people.
The ministers said they would try their level best to uphold the trust and dignity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  
They were talking to reporters after placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi-32.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Science and Technology Minister Yeafesh Osman, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc, state ministers respectively for food, a#nd posts and telecommunications Nuruzzaman Ahmed, and Tarana Halim  paid tribute to the father of the nation.
Talking to journalists, the home minister said that as per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina they are working to combat militancy and terrorism. No militant outfits will be allowed to raise their heads on this land, he added.
About the brutal killing of Rajon, Kamal said it is definitely an instance of social degradation and the government must show zero tolerance to such heinous crimes. The culprits involved in torturing the boy will be brought to justice, he added.
The expatriates' welfare and overseas employment minister said combined efforts would be taken to prevent any sorts of human trafficking.
“Problems, if any, centering the manpower sector will be identified and solved with the help of all sectors and ministries concerned,” said the minister.
State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim said, “My relentless efforts will be to build a corruption-free society with the help of the new generation. My first challenge would be to keep my ministry out of any nepotism and corruption”.
State Minister for Food Nuruzzaman vowed to remain alert so that his ministry does not face any unwanted situation.
The new cabinet members took oath at Bangabhaban at 6pm on Tuesday.
