Govt allocates over 64 lakh as grant for farmers

PIROJPUR: Government has allocated Taka 64.82 lakh as incentive grants for small and marginal farmers to encourage Aus cultivation in the district during the Aus season, reports BSS. The allowance--- cash, seed and fertilizer--- will be distributed among 4640 farmers in seven upazilas of the district. Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said each of the farmers will get cash Taka 400, 5-kg seed, 20-kg urea, 10-kg DAP and 10-kg MOP for cultivating one bigha land.
