Bangladesh now a peaceful abode in South-Asia, says Nasim

SIRAJGANJ: Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said Bangladesh has now been identified as a peaceful abode in South-Asia due to bold leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh has marched much ahead in the field of information technology sector. Young people are becoming self-reliant through earning staying at their homes (IT business). The country would have been marched much ahead had there not been ill-politics and torching of properties of BNP-Jamaat combine for consecutive 92 days (last year)," he said.
Mohammad Nasim said this while speaking as the chief guest at certificate distribution ceremony of the government's computer outsourcing programme at Royganj in the district yesterday.
Organised at Royganj Upazila Parishad auditorium by outsourcing farm 'Big Bang', the function was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Billal Hossain.
District Awami League general secretary Golam Kibria, Amzad Hossain Milon, MP, Police Super Miraj Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Iqbal Akhter, upazila Awami League president Zinnah Almaji spoke, among others. Chairman of the farm Siddique Hossain gave the introductory speech at the function.
Mohammad Nasim said, "Awami League doesn't like the politics of anarchy and torching of properties neither it believes in the politics of killing and coup. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has contained militancy and terrorism."
Calling upon BNP to take part in the next national polls, the senior Awami League leader said, "The next national polls will be held in the year 2019 under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in accordance with the constitution. Take part in that polls and take preparations for the purpose from now on."
Later, the minister inaugurated the road light connection by switching on at his Kazipur home constituency.
