Business leaders have expected that the newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and four commissioners of the reconstituted Electoral Commission (EC) would work within the limit of the constitution for creating a peaceful environment to run business smoothly, reports BSS.
Talking to the news agency, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Abdul Matlub Ahmed expressed his hope that the reconstituted EC would be able to present a free and fair national election that would be accepted by all.
“We hope that EC will take such initiatives that will remain peace in the country and we will run business smoothly,” he added.
He also said if EC would seek assistance to the business community they are ready to assist.
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Abul Kasem Khan sought to create such initiatives that would ensure a peaceful environment for running business smoothly.
