DB (Detective Branch) police yesterday in a drive recovered 5371 text books for the class-II to Class-X meant for free distribution from a flat at Rahmatganj area in the city.
DB inspector Md Fazlu Qauder Chowdhury and Md Mahabubul Alam led the drive.
DB sources said the books were recovered from the resident of one Niamat Ullah Khan. However, Niamat Ullah managed to flee the scene. A case was filed with Kotwali police station in this connection.
