Water levels are on the rise in 31 river stations while it fell in 48 stations, according to the latest forecast of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC), reports UNB.
Among the 84 monitored water level stations, three river stations have been recorded steady and water has been flowing above danger level in one station, said a bulletin issued by the FFWC yesterday.
The Ganges and Surma-Kushiyara river systems are in rising trend while the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Padma river systems are in falling trend.
The Ganges and Surma-Kushiyara river systems may rise while the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Padma may fall in the next 48 hours, it said.
