Hanif urges BNP to extend support to EC

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif yesterday urged BNP to extend support to the new Election Commission instead of 'opposing it for the sake of opposition', reports UNB. “The new Election Commission will be able to fulfill the nation's expectations. We hope all the political parties, including BNP, will provide support to it. As the country's 2nd largest political party, BNP shouldn't oppose the EC for the sake of opposition,” he said. The ruling party leader was addressing an extended meeting of district Awami League at Ustad Alauddin Khan Poura auditorium in Brahmanbaria, town. Hanif also asked his party men to get united forgetting all the differences to win the next election.
