Brahmanbaria: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a young man, who was allegedly picked-up by plainclothes police, from a field near Medda Sishu Paribar in the municipality area early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was Al Amin, 28, son of Zilu Mia of Kandipara area.On information that a gunfight took place in the area, a team of police went to the spot and found Al Amin lying in a pool of blood, said Narayan Chandra Das, sub-inspector of Sadar Model Police Station.Later he was sent to local hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Police also recovered one firearm, cartridges and five sharp weapons from the spot, said the SI.
Tanjina Begum, wife of the deceased, alleged that a team of plainclothes police picked up Al Amin from his residence around 4 pm on Monday and shot him to death..
She demanded punishment of ‘responsible policemen’ for the death.However, Additional Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hossain denied the allegation of picking up Al Amin by law enforcers.
