Sena Kalyan Sangstha is going to enter into the edible oil market of Bangladesh with its new venture-- Sena Kalyan Edible Oil Industries, which is planned to be built in Gazipur.
Sena Kalyan Sangstha yesterday signed agreements with LIPICO Technologies Pte Ltd, CNBM International Company Ltd, Auleek Services and Oncosys International at a programme held at the Sena Kalyan Sangstha at RAOWA Club in the capital.
Lieutenant Colonel Azaz started the prgramme with an introductory remark and said that Sena Kalyan Sangstha is going to introduce edible oil manufacturing plant in collaboration with two-foreign and one local firm and the project will end by March 31, 2018.
Addressing the programme, Colonel Mahmod said that in 2014, Sena Kalyan Sangstha took an initiative to make an edible oil plant in near future and this signing ceremony today has been a milestone for both the parties.
He also described that the factory will be able to produce 500 tonnes of edible oil every day and 5 per cent of the production shall be allocated for the soybean oil.
Among the three firms, LIPICO will supply the engineering machinery and CNBM will be supplying all kinds of filling machines while Auleek Services is going to install the water treatment plant, Colonel Mahmod informed.
Major General Firoz Hasan, who was present as the chief guest, said that this plant will produce both type oil- vegetable and soybean and we are hopeful that the quality of the product would be excellent while the process should be transparent.
“We will be able to support the government accordingly,” he said.
