Army chief meets president

Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban yesterday afternoon, reports BSS.

During the meeting, the army chief apprised the president of the overall activities of Bangladesh Army, including development ones. President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed journalists after the meeting. General Huq highlighted different development activities of the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC). The army chief invited the president to attend the "2nd Corps Reunion-BIRC" at Rajshahi Cantonment on February 16.
