Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has planned to organise a new cricket tournament after the name of ‘Emerging Cup-2017’ with the participation of all the Asian nation teams.

A total of eight teams including four Test playing nations- Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka along with Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nepal and Hong Kong will take part in the tournament.  The 50-over competition will be held in between March 15 to 26 but the host country of the tournament is yet to be finalised.
The decision has been taken in the just concluded meeting of ACC in Dubai this week.
The ICC full member’s team will be formed by four national team’s players coupled with under-23, while ICC associate member’s team will be comprised of the entire national team’s players.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon acknowledged all the matter and said that the tournament is likely to be staged in Bangladesh.
