Robbers loot Tk 6 lakh in Savar

SAVAR: Robbers looted Tk 6 lakh from a bus passenger on Dhaka-Aricha highway in front of Dairy Farm Gate in Ashulia yesterday, reports UNB.
Quoting witnesses, police said seven robbers, riding on three motorbikes, intercepted a Savar-bound bus and fired bullets to create panic among the passengers at noon.
Later, the robbers snatched a bag containing Tk 6 lakh from a passenger of the bus.
Being resisted, the muggers opened fired towards three people, including the man who was holding the bag, leaving them injured, said officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station Mahsinul Quadir. The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Police visited the spot.

They hoodlums opened fire at the duo as the two women tried to resists them, and made away with the amount, leaving Shahana and Natita injured, he said.
