The holy Lailatul Qadr, a night of fortune and blessing’ for the Muslims, was observed on Tuesday in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna and Rangpur cities as elsewhere in the country with due religious fervour and solemnity, reports BSS.
The 27th night of the holy month of Ramzan is the most auspicious time of the Muslims as the holy Qur’an was revealed on this glorified night to show the mankind the path of worldly and eternal emancipation.
In Chittagong, a large number of Muslim devotees visited the mazars of some famous saints including Hazrat Amanat Shah (RA), Hazrat Garibullah Shah (RA) and Hazrat Baizeed Bostami (RA).
Devotees offered their prayers and participated in other religious rituals in the whole night at port city’s two famous mosques-the Andarkilla Shahi Jam’e Mosque, CDA Mehidibag Mosque and Jamiatul Falah Mosque after Tarabi prayers.
In Rajshahi, thousands of Muslims offered ‘nafal’ prayers at mosques and homes and recited from the holy Quran in observance of the most meaningful night of forgiveness.
Many mosques especially Hazrat Shah Mukhdum Dargah Mosque, Saheb Bazar Boro Mosque, New Market Jame Mosque and Hatemkha Mosque and different other religious organisations organised milad mahfils, ‘zikr-ajkars’ and distributed tobaraks in urban and suburban areas in the city.
Special discussions were held at the mosques since Asr prayer, where the Imams delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance of the most sacred night. Our Staff reporter adds from Khulna: Thousands of the Muslim devotees spent the whole night at mosques after Tarabi prayer and other religious places of worship by offering ‘Nafal’ prayers, zikr-ajkars, milad mahfils and recited from the Holy Qur’an.
Due to the observance of the Lailatul Qadr, every mosque, including the Baitun-nur-Mosque, Town-jame-Mosque, Kagajibari Mosque, Sonadanga Residential Area Mosque, Nirala Residential Area Mosque, were filled with a huge turn out of devotees.
Special discussions were held at the mosques since the Asr prayers where the Imams delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance of the most sacred night.
The Shab-e-Qadr was also observed befittingly in Rangpur city. Imams in the special munajats, offered in the mosques, sought divine blessings and kindness for welfare, prosperity, peace, success and good luck of the humanity, country and its people and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.
