Six killed in road crashes

Six people were killed in separate road accidents in five districts in last two days.
Our Bogra correspondent says: A motorcyclist was killed as a truck hit his motorbike in Shahar Pallapara area of Kahalu upazila yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Mozaffar Hussein, 55, of Shibganj upazila of the district.
Nur-e-Alam Siddiquee, officer-in-charge of Kahalu Police Station said the accident took place at around 12.00pm. Being angered the local people torched the truck. Later, fire service and civil defence members doused the fire, the OC added.  
In Faridpur: A man was killed and 20 other people were injured as a bus hit a roadside tree on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Nagorkanda upazila yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
OC of Bhanga Police Station Ezazul Islam said the speeding bus of 'Golden Line Paribahan' hit the roadside tree at Jaturdia at noon after its driver lost control over the steering as one of the front wheels of the bus was punctured, leaving a passenger dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
Our Jessore correspondent reports:  A policeman was killed as a truck crashed into his motorcycle on Monirampur-Dhakuria road in Monirampur upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Jakir Hssain Dipu, 35, assistant sub-inspector of a police station in Thakurgaon district and son of Intaj Ali Sarder of Joypur village in Monirampur upazila.
Sub-inspector of Monirampur Police Station Tapos said the speeding truck hit the motorbike of Jakir from the opposite direction on the road at noon when he was going to Monirampur Bazar, leaving him injured.
Jakir was taken to Monirampur upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
In Natore: Two local Awami League (AL) leaders were killed in Singra upazila on Friday night, reports BSS.
Police said the accident occurred at about 9:30pm when a truck rammed into a motorcycle carrying Shakhawat Hossain Bakul, former president of Chamari union unit of AL and Mahbubul Alam Madhu, president of Ward No 8 of the union AL. OC of Singra Police Station Nasir Uddin said the two AL leaders died on the spot in the accident.
In Narail, the driver of a three wheelers was killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Chasra area of Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Tabibur Rahman Khan, 40, of Jessore district.
Police said the accident occurred at about 2:30pm.
