The ‘Annual Art Exhibition 2016’ of the Craft Department of Dhaka University’s began at Fine Art faculty on Friday.
A total of 101 craftworks of 47 students and five teachers have been put on display at the exhibition, which was inaugurated on Thursday, at Zainul Gallery of the faculty.
DU Pro-Vice chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
She also distributed awards among six of the participating students.
Of them, Namirah Farzana received ‘Award for Experimental Work’ while Shamanta Islam ‘Shilpi Junayed Islam Smriti Puroskar’, Sabuj Das ‘Artist Abdus Sukur Shah Honorary Award’, Rezaul Karim ‘Award for Best Medium Award’, Al Masud ‘Shilpi Abdus Shakoor Shah Puraskar’ and Noman Khan won ‘Departmental Best Award’.
