‘King Khan’-famed actor Shakib Khan and Indian actress Paoli Dam-starrer upcoming film ‘Swatta’ has finally been cleared by Bangladesh Film Censor Board with no cuts.
Director of the film Hasibur Reza Kollol confirmed this news through a post on his Facebook page on January 31.  He wrote on his timeline “Swatta got uncut censor certificate. I expressed my gratitude to well-wishers and critics as well.”
The formal journey of the film began in 2014. The work closed down several times due to scheduling dilemma of the actors. However, overcoming all difficulties the shooting of the film ended with a song sequence, shot in Cox’s Bazar on October 20 last year.
With the film ‘Swatta’, Indian actress Paoli Dam has paired up for the first time with the popular actor Sakib Khan of Dhaka film industry. Paoli Dam is currently passing busy time in Chennai for the shooting of a Tamil film.  She wrote on her timeline “Whoooo!! We all are very excited as Bangladesh Censor Board has passed ‘Swatta’ with flying colours.”
Shakib Khan said, “I told you earlier that this is a classical film. After completing the shooting, it seemed I made no mistake at all. Usually, viewers are not used to watching me playing in this type of films earlier. Everyone will enjoy a great film with a nice story.”
The script and dialogue of the film are written by Ferdous Hasan based on the story of Sohanee Hossain’s ‘Maa’.
Along with Shakib and Paoli in lead roles, the film also stars Nasrin, Rina Khan, Don, Kabila, Shimul Khan and others.
