Stocks slightly up with recovery on large-cap securities

Stocks were slightly up today with a trend of recovery as the major indices were found finishing upwards with marginal rise of large-cap securities, reports BSS.
All the major sectors gained on the day, enabling price indices maintain position in green zone at the country’s twin stock exchanges.
The broader DSEX of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) finished the day 5.55 points up at 5,473.89. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES followed it by 0.49 point up at 1,993.64 and 4.49 points up at 1272.77 respectively.
Similarly, the prime CASPI index at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was 7.82 points up at 16,945.
The transaction at DSE was also up when volume of the total shares was 27.25 crore and the total value of the shares was Taka 882.56 crore.
At DSE, out of the day’s 327 traded issues, 183 closed higher against 112 losing scrips. 
The large-cap securities were on the top of the recovery trend, with 144 securities of this cap category closing higher.
At CSE, 256 issues traded while 132 issued higher against 100 issued lower. The major gaining issues were Generation Next, Pharma Aid, Golden Son, Apollo Isphat and Style Craft.
The major losing companies were First Prime Finance, Savar Refrigerator, Phoenix Finance, Fareast Finance and Takaful Insurance. Islami Bank topped the turnover leaders followed by Beximco Limited, Confidence Cement, RSRM Steel and Lanka Bangla Finance.
