One gets life term for drug peddling

CHITTAGONG: The court here yesterday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for possessing and peddling heroin, reports BSS. 

The Metropolitan Session Judge Mohammad Shehe Nur delivered the judgment convicting Mohammad Harun, hailed from Devidar upazila of Comilla district. 
The court also fined the convict Tk 5,000 in default, to suffer one month more imprisonment. 
The prosecution story, in short, is that a team of Narcotics department recovered 36 gram heroin from the rented residence of Harun at Masterpool area under Bakalia thana in the city. The accused person left the scene  during the drive on September 6 in 2009.
