The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday arrested a contractor of Bangladesh Road and Transport Authority (BRTC) from the capital in a graft case, reports UNB.
Deputy assistant director Meftahul Jannat of Dhaka zila office arrested contractor (Motijheel Bus Depot) Md Enamul Haque, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
Earlier in 2015, a case was filed against him and others with Motijheel Police Station for allegedly swindling over Tk 13 lakh in operating BRTC buses.
Meanwhile, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday arrested four graft suspects in Comilla.
An Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) team, led by its deputy director Abul Kalam Azad of Comilla zila office, arrested former UP members Hafez Ahmed and Jasimuddin from Brahmapara for allegedly misappropriating money from local government projects, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told the news agency.
On Monday, the ACC filed separate cases against them with Brahmapara Police Station in connection with the allegations.
ACC assistant director Nurul Huda of its Comilla zila office arrested Abdul Bari Master and Abdus Salam of Debidwar upazila for allegedly grabbing government land by preparing fake documents.
