Bus-truck collision kills 3 in Gopalganj

Three people were killed and 32 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Tilchara in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Amir Ali, 70, of Kashiani village, Hitler Sheikh, 35, bus driver and an inhabitant of Haridaspur village in Gopalganj Sadar upazila, and Khadiza Begum, 60, of Joynagar village in Kalia upazila of Narail. The Gopalganj-bound bus from Baspur collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound vegetable-laden truck, leaving 35 people injured, said Aminul Islam, police super of Gopalganj. The injured were taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex, Gopalganj General Hospital and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
