Killing of schoolboy protested in Barisal

Student of different schools formed human chain in Barisal city yesterday in protest against the killing of Sydur Rahan Ridoy, a student of Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Government School of the city. 

Ridoy, 14, student of class X, was stabbed to death on the spot at Poresh Sagar field on his school compound on Saturday morning. 
Speakers at the programme on Sadar road in the city demanded exemplary punishment to the killers of Ridoy.
They also demanded security in every school of the city claiming that a section of youth always stayed on different school campus and harassed students openly. Speakers demanded police patrol during school hours.  
Meanwhile, the students four government schools of the city staged demonstration on Barisal Central Shaheed Minar premises at noon protesting the killing of schoolboy Sydur. 
On the other hand, police produced four arrested youths before the CMM court yesterday in connection of killing school student Ridoy. 
The accused are-- Murad Hosen, Emon Sikder, Nurunnabi Nahid and Syed Md Eyasin Santo They are the students of Class X of Barisal Technical School and College. 
Two other accused of the Sydur murder case including Md Abu Syed Abedin and Md Raju Hosen gave confessional statement to the CMM court yesterday.
Sources said Ridoy was attacked by a group of college students at 9:30am. He was severely beaten up and then stabbed with some sharp weapon in the back. He died on the spot. 
His friend, Md Rafi, was also attacked by the miscreants and suffered severe injuries. He has been admitted to the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. 
Earlier, Ziaur Rahman, father of victim filed a murder case with Barisal Model Kotwali police station against nine persons.
