Probe report against 4 war crimes accused finalised

The investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) finalised its report against four war crimes accused of Netrakona district, reports UNB.
Mohammad Abdul Hannan Khan, coordinator and chief investigator of the agency, revealed this at a press briefing at its office in the capital's Dhanmondi area yesetrday morning.
The accused are Ashok Ali, 82, Shahnewaz, 88, and two siblings -- Mohammad Azizur Rahman, 65, and Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, 72. Abdul Hannan Khan said Ashok, Shahnewaz and Azizur Rahman are now behind the bars while Khalilur Rahman remained absconding. The 546-page probe report will be submitted to the tribunal's prosecutor today (Monday), Hannan Khan said. Khan said the charges ranging from genocide to murder, confinement to torture, kidnapping and arson attack during the Liberation War were finalised.  arlier on April 13 last year, police arrested the tree war crimes accused from Netrakona in connection with a case.
