2 bank officials, contractor held in graft case

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday arrested two bank officials and a contractor in separate graft cases, reports UNB.
An ACC team, led by its deputy director Abul Kalam Azad of Comilla zila office, arrested senior officer of Sonali Bank's Akhaura branch Motahar Hossain Mollah from Akhaura sadar, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told the news agency.
On October 12, 2015, the ACC filed a case against Motahar and others with Brahmanbaria Model Police Station for allegedly swindling out about Tk 16 crore from Sonali Bank's Brahmanbaria branch.
