Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haq yesterday told the parliament that a total 13,33,317 cases were disposed of by courts across the country in 2016, reports BSS. Replying to a question from treasury bench member Wasika Ayesha Khan in the House, the law minister said the present government has undertaken effective measures for establishing the rule of law in the country and a significant progress has been achieved to this effect. The minister said some 12,18,363 civil and 13,11,187 criminal cases were disposed of in the last seven years (till 2015) by all district and sessions judge courts and equivalent tribunals.
