Riyad likely to play in PSL

Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad is likely to play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the first time after being roped in by Quetta Gladiators.

He replaced Australian Brad Hodge, who skipped the tournament for family affairs, in the team. In a team’s Twitter handle, the Quetta Gladiators team management announced his inclusion yesterday.
“Pleased to announce that useful Bangladeshi all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad has replaced Brad Hodge,” they said their twitter outlet.
But the hectic national schedule could hinder Riyad’s way to join the side. It was the second time that Riyad will play any T20 domestic tournament after Sri Lankan Premier League (SLPL).
Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal earlier were recruited by Peshwar Zalmi. In the gap between the completion of the India Test and the start of the Sri Lanka tour, the players could take part in the second edition of PSL, if BCB permits them. The PSL starts on February 9.
The final of the tournament will be held on March 5.
