Two killed in separate train accidents

Two persons were killed in separate train accidents in the city yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The deceased were Milna Akhtar, 34, wife of Khairul Miah of Kalmakanda upazila in Netrokona while the identity of another person aged around 40 could not be known immediately.
The first accident took place at Banani rail crossing at 8 am when the unidentified man was crushed under the wheels of a Chittagong-bound intercity.
The other one occurred at Khilkhet rail crossing at 9 in the morning when Milna Akhtar received serious injuries as a Netrokona-bound inter-city train hit her. Locals rushed Akhtar to a nearby hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Kamalapur Railway police station officer-in-charge Yasin Faruk confirmed the incidents to newsman.
