Stamford University Bangladesh thrashed University of Asia Pacific by 52 runs on the fourth day of the 10th ULAB Fair Play Cup Cricket Tournament at the ULAB Cricket Ground in Mohammadpur yesterday.
After setting 146-run target, Stamford skittled Asia Pacific out for 93 with five balls to spare. Put into bat first, Stamford put on 145 for eight in 20 overs with Saddam Hossain topscoring 54 off 44. Saddam later was named man of the match. In reply, Asia Pacific were bowled out for 93 despite Joy’s 35 runs.
In day’s other match, Green University of Bangladesh routed Eastern University by 83 runs at the same venue.
Green University decided to bat after winning the toss and compiled 151 for six with Shimmon making 64.
