Walton’s compressor factory to start operations in March

Walton has set up a compressor manufacturing factory at Chandra in Gazipur with 40 lakh pieces annual production capacity, the company said in a press statement yesterday. 

The compressor factory will officially start its operations in March this year. All sorts of works including building infrastructure, machineries installation, and recruitment of engineers, officials and workers are almost done, the statement added.
By starting the production of compressors, Bangladesh will be emerged as fifteenth compressor production country in the world while eighth among the Asian region, the statement added. 
SM Ashraful Alam, managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL), disclosed these at a daylong ‘Walton Plaza Conference-2016’ organised by Walton Micro-Tech Corporation at Chandra in Gazipur on Tuesday.
He said the launching of the compressor production factory will be a milestone for Bangladesh. A new horizon will be initiated in technology based product manufacturing sector of the country, he added.
