Four people, including two female students and a teacher, were killed and 18 others injured as a picnic bus overturned in Chougachha upazila of Jessore last night, UNB reports.
Two of the deceased were identified as Jahurul Islam, a teacher of Ramakrishna High School in the upazila, and bus helper Milon.
Officer-in-charge of Chougachha Police Station M Masiur Rahman said a group of teachers, students and guardians of Ramakrishna High School were going to a picnic in Dinajpur.
The bus turned turtle in Danbox area on the road around 9:15pm after it crashed into a roadside tree as its driver lost his control over the steering, leaving Jahurul and Milon dead on the spot and 20 other picnickers injured.
