University of Asia Pacific (UAP) shocked NSU by five wickets in the 10th ULAB Fair Play Cup (Inter Private University Cricket Tournament) at the ULAB playground at Ramchandrapur in the capital yesterday.
NSU elected to bat first and scored 81 runs for 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Faiaz of NSU scored 20 runs from 29 balls. Imran of UAP scalped a brace giving away 14 runs in his stipulated 4 overs.
In reply, UAP amassed 85 runs spending 5 wickets in 19.3 overs. Joy of UAP scored 29 runs from 49 balls. Maruf of NSU bagged 2 wickets by giving away 18 runs in his 4 overs. Joy of UAP was adjudged man of the match.
The second match between Eastern University and South East University was abandoned due to unavoidable circumstances.
Two matches will be played today. State University of Bangladesh will face United International University at 9:30 am and host ULAB will face Independent University, Bangladesh at 1:30 pm.
