A bill to amend the Code of Civil Procedure was placed in Parliament on Wednesday, aiming to empower courts to refer some disputes to legal aid officers, easing the pressure on the overburdened court system, reports UNB.
Law, Justice and parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq piloted the bill in the House, which was sent to the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry for further scrutiny.
