Thai Food Festival at Amari Dhaka from today

An 11-day Thai Food Festival will commence today at Amari Dhaka in the capital, which will be continued till February 5. 

Yesterday, the event was inaugurated by Thai Ambassador to Bangladesh Panpimon Suwannapongse as the chief guest, along with Abrar A Anwar, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank; Kintal Aulad, Deputy Sales Manager from Bangkok Airways; Mohammad Abdur Rouf, Chief Operating Officer, BRAC-Aarong and Tanvir Hossain, Assistant General Manager, Marketing & Sustainability, BRAC-Aarong. Kelly Lewis, General Manager of Amari Dhaka and other high officials were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
Standard Chartered Bank is the prime partner, Bangkok Airways is the airline partner and Aarong is the lifestyle partner of the festival.
Guest Chef Charakorn Chatchawat will be taking over the kitchen of Amaya Food Gallery, bringing his style of Siam Cuisine–a combination of four flavours: sweet, sour, salty and spicy. 
Traditional Thai Cuisine will be served to the guests throughout the festival. Starting from Thod Mun Goong-shrimp cake, Gai Satay-chicken satay with peanut sauce, Gai Hor Bai Toey-fried chicken wrapped in pandan leaves as appetizer to the famous Tom Yum Seafood-spicy and sour seafood soup, Gai Tom Kamin-southern chicken stew with turmeric, Tom 
Kha Gai-chicken coconut milk soup and many more exciting authentic Thai flavour will whet the diners’ appetite. 
The main course will include Gaeng Massaman Kaae - mutton massaman curry, Poo Phad Ton Hom - crab fried onion, Gai Phad Mad Mamuong-wok fried chicken with roasted cashew nuts, Mee Phad Kee Mao Goong-spicy stir fried flat noodle with prawn and holy basil leaves and Gai Haw Bai Toey–Fried marinated chicken wrapped in Pandan leaf and many more. 
During this festival Standard Chartered Bank debit and credit card holders will get a 20 % discount, while Aarong Rewards Card holders will get a 20 % discount throughout the festival.
The festival will be continued till February 25, everyday from 6:30pm to 10:30pm at Amaya Food Gallery (Level 13). Pricing: 2770++ per person
