Daffodil Entrepreneurs MeetUp held
Daffodil Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) of Daffodil International University organised “Daffodil Entrepreneurs MeetUp-2017” yesterday at banquet hall of the university, says a press release. In the MeetUp programme, about 300 DIU Alumni Entrepreneurs and some startup students participated and addressed a roundtable discussion with Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University (DIU).
Professor Dr Farid A Sobhani, Director, HRDI, Syed Maruf Reza, Head, Department of Entrepreneurship of DIU were also present.
Md Sabur Khan announced to bring all entrepreneurs under a connecting platform through a Directory Management of Daffodil Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) where all entrepreneurs will be facilitated to promote their business ventures and newly startups with a B2B networking and Daffodil Business Incubator as DEF has already ensured more than 700 entrepreneurs including startup and successful entrepreneurs who have established their business in home and abroad, and created more than 7000 job opportunities.
JU Science Festival on Feb 10
Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC) in association with Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) for the first time is going to organise a 2 day long Science Festival on February 10 and 11.
Abu Sayeed, the president of JUSC, said this over a phone call yesterday. This festival will be held on the premises of Zahir Raihan Auditorium here on the campus while prominent scientist of the university will be expected to attend, said Abu Sayeed. The two-day long festival will be included with inauguration ceremony, science poster presentation for the university level students, quiz competition related science for the school and college level students, science project show for school and college level student, prize giving ceremony and ending session. Any school, college or university level students will be able to register for the participation of this festival. The registration process will start on January 26 (Today) which will continue till February 7.
RUET 1st year classes begin on Saturday
The classes for the first year B.Sc Engineering courses under 2016-17 session at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will begin on January 28.
A press release issued by Golam Murtaza, deputy director of university press and information section, confirmed the matter on Tuesday evening.
The press release further said the orientation programme for the first year students would be held on January 27. Students have been instructed to registrar their names at university Central Auditorium within 9:00am on the day to take part in the programme.
