Online visual media for Khulna people

KHULNA: In a unique move, an online visual media khulnatv.com is set to launch here for providing the government services digital way at the people's doorstep, reports BSS. 
First of its kind in the country, the media will broadcast all the government services for people to ensure their rights.
Nazmul Ahsan, deputy commissioner (DC) of Khulna, said to BSS yesterday, Khulna divisional commissioner Md. Abdus Samad will inaugurate the online visual media khulnatv.com during the innovation fair on January 27.
He said, the visual media will provide necessary information and update about all government services, development and success of government and information about government projects.
He added people will get information of the costs of several services and accountability to people will be ensured after launching this online media. He, however, said all information accessible through the online media and respective officials will ensure people's right to know information.
"Citizen Charter, women corner, breast feeding corner and other services has been set up at Khulna DC office, he said, adding that "DC office has also taken initiative to air programme for two or three hours every day through local cable operator to reach government services at people's doorstep.
