Mother, daughter killed in road accident

A woman and her minor daughter were killed in a road accident at Khilkhet in the capital yesterday, reports BSS.

The accident occurred when a local vehicle called leguna hit Salma Akhter, 26, and her two-year old daughter, Maisha Akhter at Khlikhet Tempo Stand around 1 pm while they were crossing the road, said officer-in-charge (OC) Md Shahidul Huq of Khilkhet Police Station.
Both of them died on the spot, he said, adding that their bodies were sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
A case was lodged to this end.
