‘Forest robber’ arrested

Satkhira: Police arrested an alleged member of a forest robber gang from Chunkuri area in Shyamnagar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Anwarul Islam, member of forest robber gang ‘Alam Bahini’ and son of Sahil Uddin, a resident of Shriula village in Ashashuni upazila of the district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Anwarul in the dead of night, said officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station Mostafizur Rahman.
