Narayanganj DSA blanked Chuadanga District by 9-0 goals in the lopsided match of the Agrani Bank 26th National Youth Hockey Championship 2017 at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Narayanganj finished the first-half with 4-0, while they scored the rest in the second half.
Rhidoy Hossain, who struck the most goals for the winners, slammed seven field goals including credible two hat-tricks. He was aided by Mohammad Shamim and Ratul, who made one goal each.
In day’s other match, Dhaka Education Board thrashed Faridpur District by 6-2 goals at the same venue.
Dhaka Education Board took the lead first by Porimal Mardy, who hit a field goal in the very ninth minute of the game. Promoth Dewan stretched the lead further by clubbing two goals in the gap of just one minute and produced a hat-trick chance but Ashiqur Rahman and Ashraful Alam shattered his high hopes of hat-trick by netting one goal apiece.
After the breather, Promoth Dewan made another goal in 55th minute to increase his kitty to three-the highest of the game. In the last quarter, Mohamamd Alif and Papon Chandra Roy reduced the advantage by clobbering two goals in 60th and 69th minute respectively.
