The head coach of the Bangladesh national women’s football team Golam Rabbani Choton just denied the information about boycotting the practice session on Saturday after having trouble with the foreign trainer and goalkeeping coach.
Choton, who has been acting as the national women team’s head coach for last few years and had some big success under him, when talking to this correspondent at his residence yesterday said that it was fully ‘fake information’.
There was uproar that Chotton along with his deputy Mahbub Rahman Litu left the ground on Saturday after a disagreement with the strategic technical director Paul Smally and goalkeeping coach Ryan Sanford of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
It was also passed around that the Choton and Litu boycotted the reception of the national women’s team on that day as a protest of Smally and Sanford’s mastery over Choton.
But Choton told this correspondent, “This is absolutely false information, there was nothing wrong, I think there is also no scope to have anything wrong.”
“I think we are a team including the two foreigners, we are working together, sometimes they are talking about some strategy and we also exchange our views to make our work easy but I don’t think there was any wrong.”
