A daylong conference titled 'Bangladesh Trade and Investment Conference' will be held in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh on Tuesday in an effort to boost trade and investment between the two countries, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia will host the event at Sokha Hotel from 8:30am 3:00pm.
Some 20 top companies from Bangladesh in leading export sectors will participate in the trade and investment conference.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand, concurrently accredited to Cambodia, Saida Muna Tasneem said the trade and investment conference is the first of its kinds being held by this Embassy in Cambodia.
The Embassy officials said the mega event organised by Bangladesh Embassy to Thailand last May helped increase exports to Thailand by 13 per cent last year after a gap of five years.
They hoped that the initiative being taken in Cambodia would also help gain similar growths.
