A minor boy was killed after being hit by a battery-run rickshaw at Uttara in the capital on Saturday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Md Russel, 12, son of Md Ismail of Kakongaon village in Kamlakanda upazila of Netrakona district.
Sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Camp Police outpost, said that a battery run rickshaw hit Russel while he was crossing a road at Uttara sector-10 in the morning, leaving him critically injured.
He was first taken to Uttara East West hospital.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries around
2:30 am.
