Sir,
It is very much sorrowful to us that Bangladesh is facing a severe situation and is being failed in securing the foreigners. Recently a Chinese citizen, businessperson, named Cheng Hi Sheng had been living in Bangladesh for the last five years, was murdered at the warehouse in Jessore town. Though Bangladesh is known to be a peaceful country, the recent incidents of foreigners killing are moving on Bangladesh towards instability.
The foreigners living in Bangladesh play significant contributions in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. A few months ago, the killing of nine Italian, seven Japanese, one indian and a US citizen in Holey Artisan Bakery had raised concern among the foreign governments about the position of their citizens in Bangladesh.
If this situation repeatedly goes on, then Bangladesh will lose its image in international arena and may be marked as undeserving habitation for foreigners like Pakistan.
And for that Bangladesh may suffer economically having lack of foreign investments. So, government must take all possible preparations to ensure the safety of foreigners in order to build the friendly relationship with the
international community and motile Bangladesh with its continuous advancement.
