Bangladesh-China Ceramic Exhibition underway at Zainul Gallery

A four-day ceramic exhibition titled BangladeshChina Ceramic Exhibition is underway at the Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), University of Dhaka (DU) in the capitals Shahbag. Beginning from Tuesday, the exhibition will come to an end tomorrow.
DU Vice Chancellor AA M S Arefin Siddique and DBL Group vice-chairman Abdur Rahim jointly inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday noon. Presided over by the chairman of the Department of Ceramics Dr Azharul Islam Sheikh, dean of the FFA Professor Nisar Hosain was present as special guest.
Five artists from China participated in the exhibition. They are ceramist collectors Gao Yanhui, who is the member of Ceramic Association of Tangshan in China; Ceramist Zhao Lu, who is passionate about painting and clay sculpture; two times Hebei Ceramic Art Skills award recipient Ceramic Sculptor Zhang Lihong, ceramic sculptor Dong Zhuangzhuang and Rezaur Rahman, who is currently enrolled in PHD programme on Ceramic at Tsinghua University in China.
Besides, six faculties from Dhaka Universitys FFA also participated in the exhibition and workshop, they are chairman of the Department of Ceramics associate professor Dr Azharul Islam Sheikh, associate professor MD Robiul Islam, associate professor Swapan Kumar Sikder, associate professor Debashis Pal, assistant professor Mohammad Subbir Al Razy and assistant professor Chinmaye Sikder.
With the courtesy of DBL Group, Department of Ceramic, FFA of DU organised the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to all everyday from 11am to 8pm, until January 20.
