Teenage boy stabbed dead in capital

A teenage boy was stabbed to death over previous enmity at Tejkunipara in the capital's Tejgaon area yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Aziz, 18, a worker of a car workshop in Tejkunipara and son of M Bashir Hossain of Purerpara in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district.
Aziz along with his family members used to live in rail colony of Tejkunipara.
Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said a group of local youths Aziz, Rony and Mafizul -- had enmity with another group of youths --Saimun, Jewel and Moni.
An altercation took place between Mafizul, a friend of Aziz, and Moni at Tajkunipara Khelagharmath around 2:30 pm as Mafizul allegedly threatened Moni to kill him showing a knife.
At one stage, Moni's friend Saimun and Jewel appeared there and attempted to attack Mafizil. As Aziz tried to save Mafizul from the attack Saimun chopped Aziz with a knife, leaving him injured.
Injured Aziz was taken to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 3:40pm
Police arrested five people Saimun Jewel, Moni, Roni and Mafizul for interrogation.
