Three workers, including a couple, who sustained burn injuries in a boiler explosion at Shialkole village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila on January 11 died at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Saber Ali, 50, his wife Jahanara Khatun, 45, and Sakera Bewa, 48, wife of late Sayeed, residents of Shialkole village.
Sources at the DMCH said Jahanara succumbed to her injuries at 11 am while Sober Ali at 3:15 pm and Saker died at 3:35 pm.
On January 11, five workers, including Jahanara, Sober and Saker, were injured as a boiler of a husking mill of one Shamim Talukder went off with a big bang.
The injured were taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital from where they were shifted to the DMCH for better treatment.
