Dr Dilip Kumar Saha has recently been appointed as the member (Physical Science) of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, a press statement said yesterday.
Prior to the appointment, he served as the director of Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka, a research wing of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission.
Dr Saha joined in Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission as a scientific officer in 1983 just after completion his M Sc degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from Dhaka University.
He received training from Argonne National Laboratory and Florida State University, USA. He received his PhD degree from Tsukuba University, Japan under Monbukagakusho scholarship.
He did his post doctoral fellowship on Nanotechnology for the period of 3 years under NEDO fellowship in Japan. He set up modern XRD laboratory in Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka in 2003.
He has a total of 141 research articles published in different journals in home and abroad.
He has a patent on Nanotechnology in Japan. He was the project director of an ADP project for three years, the statement added.
