Woman killed ‘by husband’

NARAIL: A housewife was allegedly killed by her husband over a family feud at Kadamtala village under Kalia upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The victim was Kohinur Begum, 28, wife of Masud Sheikh, resident of the same village.
Police and locals said Masud beat her wife Kohinur indiscriminately with a bamboo stick over a family matter, leaving her critically injured.
Kohinur was admitted to Narail Sadar Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries this morning.
Police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue.Police arrested Masud in this connection, said Abdul Gani Miah, Officer-in-Charge of Kalia Police Station.
