SYLHET: The authorities of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have expelled two leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Shah Paran Hall for causing carnage in halls of residence, reports UNB.
The expelled students are Imdadul Haque Milon, BCL’s SUST unit information and science affairs secretary and a student of the Bangla Literature Department, and Jubayer Ahmed, SUST unit joint general secretary of BCL and a student of Food Engineering Tea Technology. Shah Paran Hall provost M Shahedul Hossain asked them to leave the hall on Monday, sources at the campus said. On December 31 last, Milon and Jubayer vandalised room number 424 of C block of Shah Paran Hall. The punitive action will be taken against them following the allegations by residential students of the room Sheikh Hasibur Rahman and Hasibul Hossain, after which an investigation into the allegations proved them to be well-founded.
