Two killed in stampede

Two people died in a stampede in an Esal-e-Sawab mahfil (a religious event) in Jakigangj upazila in Sylhet on Sunday night, reports UNB.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Additional Police Superintendent of Sylhet Sugyan Chakma said the stampede occurred around 8pm when the devotees were collecting food during the programme arranged seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Maulana Abdul Latif Chowdhury.
