2 killed in Barisal road accident

Two women were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Bakultala area in Barisal city yesterday afternoon.

The deceased were -- Shahnaz Begum, 35, and Kanchan Bala, 55. The bodies were sent to Barisal Medical College morgue for autopsy. The injured-- Humayoun Kabir, 30, Khalil Hawladar, 55, and Rimi Hawladar were admitted to Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH). Among them the condition of Humayun Kabir is critical, said SBMCH source. 
Injured two others were taken to local hospital.  Anwar Hosen, officer-in-charge of Airport police station under BMP, said the accident took place when a Babuganj-bound truck collided head-on with a Barisal-bound human hauler in Bakultala area. Shahnaz and Kanchan died on the spot.  Police visited the spot. Driver and helpers of the truck were managed to flee from the spot.
