Attack on BCL leader protested

Protesting the attack on a Chhatra League leader, Phulbaria upazila unit BCL men brought out a procession at the upazila headquarters yesterday. They also held a rally at Bangabandhu Square in the upazila demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to the attackers. Police said a group of five to six criminals hacked Sarwar Hossain, 22, BCL secretary of Phulbaria upazila unit, indiscriminately at upazila headquarters around 6:00pm on Saturday, leaving him critically injured. Sarwar, a resident of Bhalukjan village in the upazila and a degree second year student of Phulbaria Degree College, is undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
